Totally Obsessing Over My Job Interview...

First off, this is for a contract position, so it is a little less formal/rigorous than a direct job.

But I had a phone interview today (only interview, no face2face, this will be my only interview either way) and I feel like I did terribly. I was applying for one job and he mentioned another one I said it wasn't "my first choice, but I am open to any opportunities".

On the other hand the manager asked me when I'd be able to start (not like a "so when can you start?") but wanted to know my time frame. Also asked me if I'd consider a direct position down the road. With questions like that, it couldn't have been too terrible right?

I am driving myself crazy, probably over nothing. Help me ATOT 🙂

How long did the interview last? You said the other position was "not your first choice," is it a lower-paid or junior position to the one you interviewed for?

Less interesting, same pay. Phone interview was about 30 minutes w/ 1 manager (guy I'd be working for).

I was mainly posting to vent. There isn't much more to tell. I guess the only thing I really regret was my "not my first choice" comment, but the interview went on for 15 minutes after that. He said if I did come on he'd need me to get up to speed quickly.

Thanks for letting me vent. Maybe I should just kill some zombies in L4D 🙂
