Totally new CS Problem!! :| - solution found

Yup, now I can finally join servers and play. On some. About 60% of servers keep kicking me; the console (when it actually works) says:
Illegible server message: svc_bad

What gives? I'm using Cheating Death 1.2.3, but so are some of the servers I join.


Solution:
Advice gotten at CD forums was to use the beta version, 1.2.4. It's under the Developers section in the menu at the Cheating Death website.
 
Try uninstalling and then reinstalling Half-Life/Counter-Strike and any custom skins or models you have installed.

Next, ask the C-D developer at the Cheating-Death forums which you can get to here. I visit there a lot under "Haste"
