i have 2 7950gx2 cards in sli and every video diag thats run always says theres only 512mb of vram is that all it sees or does it really see the 2gb?

When you have 2 cards in SLI, your total memory is still the same as the card with the least amount of memory. When you put two 7950GX2's together in SLI, the total amount of memory you get is still the same as one card. Since the 7950GX2 is 2x G71 cores in SLI with 512MB each, I'm guessing that the total amount of memory on the 7950GX2 is still 512MB, so your programs are detecting the whole setup as 512MB.

No, sorry (unless some drivers magically come out or something like that). Maybe you are supposed to have 1GB for a single 7950GX2; I'm not sure. But never 2GB.

SLI has to have the same data on EVERY one of those cards. So each RAM has the same data in it so you really only have 512mb of vram (if thats what the 7950gx2 has, I don't remember).
