I have a lappy with a boot sector virus.. it has toshiba 40 gig.. i dont find a Low Level format utility on Toshiba.com.. anyone have any experiences or any luck using some non toshiba utility?

you can fix a boot sector virus by deleting the partrition making a new one and formating it
go to www.bootdisk.com and download the boot disk for windows 98SE
then run it on the laptop when you get to the command primport type in fdisk
and i think you can do it from there
