So in a nutshell, some PCMCIA cards work with the Computer and others don't. Specifically, I have a Belkin (model F5D5020) that doesn't, yet an AmbiCom CardBus Ethernet 10/100 TX (32-bit) (model AMB8100) that does. I also tried an Intel card that didn't work.
I did install all of the Belkin drivers. I spoke w/ a tech-support rep that, though she didn't sound very knowledgeable and basically followed a script (poorly at that). She montioned somthing about the IRQ's which the Belkin unit needed being all used up and recommended I contact Toshiba about changing some settings in the BIOS. Problem is I'm no longer under warranty and don't want to pay $$. I may just toss the Belkin card and try to buy a new Ambicon (the one I currently have is a friends).
Any thoughts or suggestions. I'm leaning to purchasing a new card over messing w/ a bunch of settings - thought?
Thanks.
