Toshiba Tecra 740CDT - Goes into resume mode randomly

A colleague of mine has a Tecra 740CDT which at random times goes into resume mode. He could be installing windows, letting it idle, playing a game, etc, and it will go into resume mode for no reason. This wouldn't be so bad, but you can't get out of it unless you let it sit for awhile, and hit the power button. Then it will resume where it left off, no problems. I've tried flashing his BIOS, reinstalling windows, looked for drivers and answers at Toshiba's Tech Support (which IMO sucks), and haven't found a working solution yet. Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix it, besides a Toshiba Service Center?

Thanks,

LesPaul

Make sure that in the BIOS that in the Others section,
that Power-up Mode is set to BOOT and not RESUME.

To get into the BIOS, push the power-on button while
holding down the ESC key, then [F1]
