Toshiba TDP-TW90AU question, single or triple chip DLP?

Hey all,

I'm looking into buying a Toshiba TDP-TW90AU or Toshiba TDP-T98U projector.

(Busy weighing the 300 lumens versus slick wireless presentation software. Unit would be used in situation with good amount of background light.)

Anyway, I am curious to see if any of you know the quality of this unit. And if it has a single-chip or triple-chip DLP setup. Apparently there can be "ghosting" with the single-chip setup and I can't find any definitive information.

Thanks!

Both are single chip DLP. If you absolutely need the lumens, those projectors might be OK. I suggest picking a projector designed for theater use. It will have lower lumens, but will likely be native widescreen with a color wheel designed for color/picture quality.

BTW, 3-chip DLP projectors start around $15,000.
