i tried reencoding a hd-divx file to a 720x298(proper ratio for specific movie) divx file. it played, but kept freezing and skipping. i used the divx 6.7 calculator and came up with the bitrate of 4450kbps, so i could have the highest possible quality from a standard divx file. could it be that the player cant handle the high bitrate eventhough its a standard divx file?
if so, what players out there can handle high rates better? preferably in the same price range.
