I got this laptop to repair after the owner said that it would no longer start after she installed an itunes update. I dismissed it as a coincidence, but no matter what I did I couldn't get the PC to boot anymore. So I reinstalled Vista 64 bit form toshiba image, SP2, al the updates. Then I installed itunes and sure enough in the middle of installation it crashed, but it continued to install, I let it run for an hour but it just kept stuck in the same spot. So I tried to enable task manager, but it wouldn't let me. Tried to restart, it wouldn't. So I forced a shut down and now it's back to square 1. It won't boot into windows.

I guess it's some incompatibility between itunes and something that loads with the laptop. I get to a black screen with white arrow and the laptop just sits there. Two days of work gone in an instant. I hate apple.
