Toshiba Satellite 5005-S507 and BIOS

why cant i get into the bios on my laptop which is a new toshiba satellite. ive done the escape key and f1 key but it just goes through to normal boot sequence. anyone know if the new satellites wont let you access the bios?

AFAIK the only option in the "bios" is a boot password

all the rest is handled by windows, linux people were not very happy about it
