Toshiba laptops are the best bang for the buck. I would say that IBM Thinkpads are just as good, but cost way too much more.

Not current on laptop prices, and I would never pay 2k for a laptop ($1200 is my limit), but at least you know that the quality is there.

I too would like a Toshiba, and for this price and spec it's really good. Not so sure about video though, seems the Dell's are the only one's with a good Video chipset and an LCD screen that works 24bit (personally, i do believe the 24bit LCD's look better than the 16bit one's... just imho)
