Toshiba Portege m400 Touchscreen Issues

I am trying to restore an older Toshiba Portege M400. I have WIN XP Tablet 2005 installed and what I think are all the drivers. Everything works great except the touchscreen.
I have been all over the web, downloaded and installed some WACOM drivers - still no luck.
Anybody have any ideas or experience about how to fix this?

Toshiba lists these drivers(refine your search for XP and Tablet PC only) for Tablet PC and I don't think these solve your problem: Portege M400-S5032 Tablet PC Drivers

However I found this page regarding the Portege M400 on Toshiba's Forum: Where to find XP Touchscreen driver which led me to Wacom's site: Tablet PC - Enhanced Graphics Driver

You may have already tried a Wacom driver, as you've mentioned Wacom, then again maybe you haven't tried this particular driver dated Sept., 2010.

Tried that one - but it did not work for me.

Tried that one - not only did it not work but from the Wacom website - it appears that the M400 does not use Wacom components at all!

Suggest when you search the web for drivers or post a forum, that you use the exact model number.

You are using the correct PEN with the touchscreen right?

Generally speaking, Toshiba laptops are a bitch to install without the recovery cd.
