Does anyone know anything about Toshiba's most recently released consumer P300-series 3 GB drives, being sold in the retail package as part # HDWD130XZSTA (eg, Newegg item N82E16822149630)? Without digging through more than the first dozen or so of many pages of irrelevant search results (mostly product listings that include the words "review" or "reviews" but don't actually have any yet), I was only able to find one review on the web and it was of no use, since that reviewer's drive was DOA.
All I've really been able to dig up is that, compared to their PH3300U-1I72 (DT01ACA300) (Newegg item N82E16822149396) kit, they've cut the warranty down to 2 years from 3 years.
Basically, I'm wondering if there's any sort of design improvement(?) that could possibly outweigh going with an already market-tested product that has a longer warranty, to boot.
