Greetings!
My laptops in the past have always been IBM (still have one from 1991ish that works great). I love laptops that are solid and dependable. The recent sale of IBM's computer business to the Chinese makes me said, and thus I will switch brands to the next best quality maker of notebooks, Toshiba (or at least that is what I have always heard and read).
I am currently looking for a new laptop for college, but I can not find a Toshiba notebook that fits what I need, maybe you guys know of a model of a Toshiba laptop that fits the following:
1.5ghz+ Pentium M Centrino
802.11G wireless
14"+ TruBright Display (nonwidescreen)
512mb (or more) RAM
Nvidia GPU with dedicated graphics memory (least important, I could live without this as I will not game much on it.)
Fingerprint scanner (for added security)
All of the Toshiba models that I find that have the fingerprint scanner lack the TruBright display or some other missing piece of the puzzle.
Uses: Taking notes in class, mild gaming and DVD playback (for trips), utility roles, etc.
