Toshiba Notebook HD diagnostic utility?

Can't find one that will check my Dell Inspiron 5100 HD which is a Toshiba MK3021GAS, HDD2181, 30GB. If Toshiba doesn't have one will any others work? Thanks.
 
Most of the manufacturer's utilities will scan any brand drive, but they won't necessarily report error codes of any use since the maker of your drive won't care what somebody else's utility says. I always found Maxtor's PowerMax to be the best of the utilities, it's simple and fast.

Toshiba doesn't seem to provide any utility at all.

You might also be able to use the Dell utilities.

Hi, You don't say what OS, but all come with a decent HD test. Win98 has SCANDISK. It's CHKDSK does very little real testing. XP comes with CHKDSK that run with parameters does a good job. Go to DOS and type CHKDSK /? for instructions.
