my laptop is toshiba satellite m300,centrino one platform with PM965 chipset. The CPU now i'm using is T5750 and i want to know what's the highest CPU it can support? Thx

First of all you need to find out if the PCU is upgradable. Chances are its soldered dirrectly to the motherboard. About the only things you can upgrade on most laptops is the HDD and RAM.

The next issue is how much money you want to spend for perhaps, not much gain. You might be able to put a 2.4 or 2.53 GHz chip in there, netting you about 20-25% clock increase, but you are probably looking at around $200-300 for the chip. Maybe less, I haven't looked in a while.

What are the other specs on the system and what do you use it for?

Also check the TDP i had a huge problem when i installed a high TDP processor on a laptop whose heat sink was tooo small and it took quite a bit of time before i realized the problem was.

ok.thank you for your advice.i will be greatly appreciate if someone can give me a entirely CPU support list
