Toshiba Laptop

How do you clone a laptop HD. I bought a 80 gig drive and need to clone my 40 gig drive to it. What is the best way to accomplish this with a laptop? I did a search and didn't narrow anything down for laptops.

Any help is appreciated.

Norton Ghost: create image to external hard disk, then boot Norton Ghost and get image back onto freshly installed larger HDD.

Like others have said, Ghost is good - although I think this was implied, you'd need to put the extra hard drive into a 2.5" usb2 or firewire enclosure... then again, if you're still going to use the old drive, you were probably going to buy one anyway.

I've ghosted many a laptop hdd by going the media bay route. The computer sees the other hdd as a slave. Ghosting was easy to a larger hdd.

Then I save the original in case of an emergency or use as secondary hdd. Your choice. Google the media drive enclosure for your Toshiba.
I found my my MBEs for my Dell around $40.
