Toshiba laptop will not connect to HP Envy 7640 printer

ok I give up. I cant get my wife's Toshiba laptop (Win7 fully patched) connected to the wireless HP Envy 7640 printer.

The printer is up, i can print to it from 4 other PC's and our Galaxy S5's. the laptop can ping the address so it has a path. I used the drivers from the disk but then got them from HP still no go. :twisted:

if i plug the printer into the laptop via USB it works, so i know i have the correct drivers.

so why can i ping the IP, but when I try to add the printer it cant find it? local firewalls are off and i have disabled A/V

any ideas?

In these cases, usually something completely remove and reinstall the printer drivers to be drivers. Of course you should make sure you have installed the correct driver. I'll share a few link to be guaranteed.

Make sure your laptop work group is the same as the wifi network SSID

Hey OutHouse, totally missed this thread back in January. Did you ever get it working?
