ok I give up. I cant get my wife's Toshiba laptop (Win7 fully patched) connected to the wireless HP Envy 7640 printer.
The printer is up, i can print to it from 4 other PC's and our Galaxy S5's. the laptop can ping the address so it has a path. I used the drivers from the disk but then got them from HP still no go.
if i plug the printer into the laptop via USB it works, so i know i have the correct drivers.
so why can i ping the IP, but when I try to add the printer it cant find it? local firewalls are off and i have disabled A/V
any ideas?
