I need help guys. I dont normally ask but here is one that I am in desperate need of. I am fixing my laptop and the cable for my keyboard is messed up on the end. So i cut it. but I stil have lots of black stuff on the end now. how can i cut small holes in it to make it work? help would be greatly appreciated... Thanks in advance... Adam

That is a very hard thing to do. One of my technicians had to something similar with a Sony keyboard. Basically take a razor blade and carefully peel up the plastic layer to expose the metallic strips. Hopefully you kept the stiff plastic part from the end so you can insert the cable into the connector. Cutting holes probably will not work. You will need to expose a length of the metallic strip, preferably the same length as what was originally there. Which laptop is it by the way?
