Anybody ever have this happen? It's one of those modular CD-ROM's for older laptops, they just slide-in, slide-out. It's from an old Toshiba Satellite Pro 420CDT.
It works great, reads well, etc. but it just won't make that 'click' when you try to close it. Seems like the latching mechanism is not working.
Is this a common problem? Where is the latching mechanism? Near the faceplate? Near the side/end?
Any help would be appreciated.
