Toshiba HD DVD Drive (IDE) $19 + shipping at Geeks.com - Refurbished

I am totally oblivious to HD playback, but this seems to be a *very* cheap opportunity to watch some high-definition movies.

Yes, I do know that HD-DVD format is dead. However, if you have some HD DVD media or do not mind being limited to what has already been released without an opportunity to extend your collection in the future, I can't see how you can go wrong with a HD DVD playback device for $19.

Toshiba SD-H802A 2.4X Hi-Def DVD-ROM IDE Drive (Black)

Hell, you can't even get a floppy drive in a Dell for this much nowadays.

Thank you for participating in the forums, but this topic is already in progress here.

I am wondering if I should jump on this myself. I have an ATI Radeon HD 2400 Pro card in my Media Center PC. The TV is hooked via D-Sub. Can this be installed in an external enclosure? What else do I need to get full HD playback? Will HDCP screw me over?

What are cheap sources for HD DVD movies?

Could someone enlighten me please (or talk me out of it)?
