I just found this over at AVS after wondering for hours why my player halted DLing the new firmware and sat with an error code. This is the first place where I saw an explanation for the error code (and I spent some time searching!) so I just wanted to relay the information to the AT crew to anyone who may have had the same issue after picking one of these up for 200 bucks at BB yesterday. According to others, you should be able to power down the player, burn the firmware to CD-R and update that way without problems (YMMV).
