Comments? Better deals for a comparable 32"? WEGA is helluva lot better... but just too damn expensive :(

Looks out of stock! Scheduled custom delivery on Tuesday! :) Can't wait. Just ordered Directv tonight... so I should get that as well sometime this week. Decided on the referral deal... so $24 for professional installation, dual LNB dish, receiver, and remote!

Great TV, rivals the Wega TVs when you use the component inputs. Well worth the price!

Actually Leo, the 32A60 is the newer model of these TVs, even though it is listed at a lower retail price, they are essentially the same TV, but the A60 model boasts a higher resolution if I"m not mistaken. I used to sell these TVs for a major retailer. We got them at cost for about $530 with the stand included, so your deal of $574 without a stand, while not as low as we could get them for, is still rather decent. I think the lowest i've seen a toshiba 32 inch go for in the store is $599, and you would have had to pay sales tax on that.

Nevertheless, you still got a good deal, and not comparing this to the Sony Wega or XBR lines, and excluding all HDTV's on the market, this is hands down, THE BEST PICTURE tv you can buy as far as consumer brands go. When you get into higher end, obviously your quality goes up, but you get what you pay for. Excellent choice!

IBhacknU, I ordered one a couple months ago from Amazon and it just shipped by freight. Nothing special really, they didn't even help me bring it in. Amazon's page says they are supposed to bring it in, unpack, and trash any packaging not needed. Yet another thing we get screwed on not living in the continental US.

Divine: ack... where were you when I ordered it a couple of days ago.. *foo* Thanks for the correction. I searched and I searched but I could find no real substantive proof that one was newer than the other one except that the one I posted had a higher retail price and the link on toshiba's site was higher up next to the higher/better models (36"). Regarding the resolution, both have 750 lines of horizontal resolution. I'm hoping most of the new features are just cosmetic.. like the new one might have a glow in the dark remote... We'll see ;)

I'm really looking forward to getting this tv... God, I hope it works when it gets here... shipping on 125 lbs must be sick if I have to return it, and after reading through Amazon's shipping policies there was no mention that they'd cover return shipping on defective items.( I hate non-specific policies)

By the way, anyone interested in picking one up. Amazon has free shipping... even on this.

They dropped the price 25 bucks so I jumped on with the $15 coupon. $550 shipped seems like a smokin deal. Toshiba kicks ass when it comes to TV's. Anyone who is curious give me a yell in a few days and I'll tell you how it is...

Yeah. And the Wega only weighs about 60 Lbs. more - my built-in cabinets would shreek if a put a 176 Lb. Wega on them. However, the Wega runs $999 for a 32" w/o the P.I.P. option.

Has anyone received this product yet? I'm interested in finding out the details. BB wants $599 for the A40 (no PIP tuner).

I've got it's 36" cousin and it is a jewel; the component-in lets you see DVD as intended.

Just got it yesterday. Holy hell it is a sweet tv. Simulated surround is cool. Apparently it is pretty rugged too... since the guy who delivered it let it fall off his crummy dolly onto the pavement a couple of times... I almost screamed. Not only that but since he was by himself, I had to help him get it out of the truck, onto the dolly, and then unpackage it and set it up... Not exactly what I had in mind when Amazon said it would be "white glove deliver" which is:

<< Our shipper will call you to schedule delivery, unpack this item, and remove all packaging. Our total shipping charge for this item is $99.00. >>

Can't wait until Directv shows up :)

Now I just need a good deal on a DVD player...
