Hi,
I'd like to know if someone uses the Toshiba A135-S4477 laptop with 4GB RAM.
I upgraged my system to 2x2GB Crucial Memory (CT653171 model), which Crucial says is 100% compatible with this model.
My BIOS is updated to the newest version 1.60. The setup BIOS shows me 4096MB, but during the boot process, it shows only 3063MB.
I tried to run memtest+ v1.70 and it freezes when I force it to check the 4GB RAM. Ubuntu 7.10 only detects ~3.3GB maximum. I'd like to run a memory test tool and make sure that I don't have any real memory problems. Do you have any suggestions?
The computer is stable (it doesn't freeze, reboot, etc.) so I think the memory is OK. But I'd like to fully check the memory...
Thanks a lot!
