We love our two year old 55? Sony GrandWega LCD HDTV from Sears. Great picture and no problems.

If you want a great TV look at the just released Sony A2000 SRXD line.
I just bought the 50 inch and love it.
I would stay away from the Toshiba DLP's after the bulb problems they were having last year.
And by the way I think the bulb life on the SXRD is rated at 8000 hours
