Scenario:

Me: "Do you price match?"

Salesman: "yes"

Me: "Well, Electronics Express has this advertised for $469.95 this week."
(never mentioned they were out of stock)

Salesman: "Sure I can do that."

That was it.

I know BB will not PM if the item is out of stock. I don't know if Sears is suppose to only PM if the item is in stock. I did not mention it and the salesman did not ask.

This is not a bad deal, but I got the Toshiba 32A50 from BB for $449 about 3 months ago.

I believe I have the 32A40. The tube should be the same across all A series. I had no intention of even considering a Toshiba, but after comparing the picture quality with eight other 32" televisions at the store (all side-by-side), the Toshiba won without tweaking the settings...the others couldn't win *after* tweaking the settings. Plus, it was one of the least expensive. And unlike the much-more expensive Sony, the Toshiba had S-Video (both of my disc players and ES receiver are all S-Video).

A friend of mine also bought a Toshiba 32", but he didn't know it was a Toshiba...he just looked at all the TV's, said "that one has the best picture" and wrote a check.

Great TV, really good price. Haven't had a single ounce of buyer's remorse.

You must have gotten some really good deal, like maybe using a 10% coupon...cause it's on sale right now for $520.
