Toshiba 16X DVD IDE $81.00

i've got a toshiba 12x DVD. solid DVD player, has 10x DAE and 40x data: keeps up nicely with my 8x yamaha. for the record, my ATI all-in-wonder has DVD decoder and does not require passthrough. most ATI cards include hardware DVD decoding (starting with the ATI 128 Rage Pro). that's while i like ATI even though their drivers sucks and their tech support blows.

Is either the Toshiba or Pioneer clone cd compatible?

Just got 16x Slot AOpen (Pioneer) for $74 at a computer show. Yum, stole it right before someone else was going to buy it. Last one too Awesome drive, owned a 10x Slot Pioneer before, but this one does seem quieter.

The toshiba drive is very good with clonecd. it reads everything.
