Left nut - LOL, great nick name ... I think he meant $125.90 is after applying the 36% off at Mercata.

The Toshiba SD1600 is the best DVD Player for your money right now, of course there are better ones out there but this is a great all around DVD Player.

The price has dropped again, now it's down to 182.80

$182.80
-20% Mercata
-16% MSN Passport
--------------------
$116.99

This player seems to be so popular. I can't believe it is on sale at Safeway here in San Francisco at $179.99

what does that has anything to do with a place where people just want to get some milk?

Damn, I just bought this beast for $121 (shipped) from Mercata. I'm going to bring the 1600 that I purchased from Best Buy for $189 back. This is a great player - I've been using one for 2 weeks. If you don't like movies in 16x9 format, you can hit the 'zoom' button to fill the screen up on your regular 4:3 TV.

I've found the Toshiba much easier to use than the Pioneer '333' which I also brought back. The icons associated with the Toshiba are very easy to go through and utilize. Both DVDs are very nice, but I like the Toshiba better.

I just ordered from 800.com with the 10% DVD discount, 20% passport discount and a $30 coupon that I thankfully had sitting in my account. Price was just like you said, $109 shipped. Toshiba has always been my favorite electronics company. They are solid and reliable products.

One problem with MSN passport is that it returned an incomplete shipping address to 800.com. I didn't catch this until after ordering, so I sent e-mail right away. Anyway, passport returned my apartment number as 380, not 3803. I have uses passport with Mercata, and it worked OK, so I think 800.com was the problem. The gist of this is check your order form carefully before finalizing.

Such a deal, a $199 DVD player for $109. Now if I can track down one of those $15 DVD Pepsi rebates, that would be sweet.

BTW, 800.com replied to my address correction problem within one hour via e-mail. This is good service considering it is the 9:00 the day before Thanksgiving. Those people in Oregon are great. Plus they don't charge tax on any item to anyone.
