Torture Testing a CPU?

Does anyone know of any software that pushes the CPU to its limits? I need one for the purposes of showing that my Toshiba notebook is locking up because it is overheating.... Thanks,

Another vote for Prime 95 "Torture Test".
IMHO, for complete stability run
1.) Prime 95 torture Test
2.) Memtest86
3.) Loop 3D Mark 2001
4.) I use WinRAR to RAR/UnRAR 500MB of files with CRC check.
If the machine does all these I feel it is as stable as it can be.
