Oh...ok. So that makes it alright for Saddam's regime to use torture chambers in police stations. Ok...thanks for your approval!

police everywhere use torture.

next it's going to be an iraqi soldier hit his baby. imagine the ruthlessness that goes on in iraq. once they are free they wont do these kinds of things.

im not saying that saddam's regime is not horrible, but let's stick to the important stuff.

good old Isreal is another country that uses torture, why doesn't the USA complain about that

Is that a fact that is verified by independent sources?

This is obviously propaganda by the USA. We all know Saddam is a real sweetheart!

Hell, the CIA tortures people. Get over it. It doesn't justify invading a sovereign nation.

"Get over it"????

This coming from a guy who, over two years after the Presidential election, still can't get over the fact that Bush was elected President.

Exactly!
Sure torture doesn't justify it, but when you couple torture/rape/murder, weapons violations, and verbal threats it sure does😉

Sure seems you Liberals and "anti-war" people claim to always see the big picture of this war and keep preaching how it will affect the world but you fail acknowledge "the whole picture" of Saddam's terror against his people - isn't that mighty big of you😛 Every point that is brought up is labeled "not a justification" but you admit "yes it is bad", but you only see it issue by issue and argue it that way.

So that being said - What combo of FACTS will it take for you to realize this war is justified? Sure seems to me that 12yrs of UN saction violations should be enough but when you add the other factors in it should be blatantly obvious!

CkG

Oh and where are these "caring" Liberals who's motto includes "we help people who can't help themselves" ? Seems as though the Iraqi people should fit right into that "need" category. 😉

no I am not going to give a linky about how bad our beloved Isreal is,
Americana sure does have a habit at pointing at human rights abuse when it's to there favor and then looking the other way when it's to there favor also

some of you people need to go out and live in the other parts of the world for a few years😉

I have and I have seen the abuse and I believe we are doing the right thing. One step at a time.

>>>some of you people need to go out and live in the other parts of the world for a few years <<<

Why,when nirvana is here? I feel blessed being born American. I have been abroad, and to Mexico and Canada, Europe and the South Pacific. I like it here just fine. Because someone else has less doesn't mean we should take less too. Thats pure bunk. Empathy, maybe. But a good many other countries can elavate their standards of living, long before I will capitulate to lowering mine for appeasement sake.

This country is young, but it has fought hard for what it has. It is by determination and devine entervention we have the blessings we enjoy. The same can be had in any country, when they give up looking at us with jealosy and start down a path to democracy and self rule and an economic system of fairness and reward for labor and enterprise.

Funny, so many in other countrymen are clammering to come here and forsake their citizenship to become American and share in the happiness we Americans have. I think that sends plenty of message that we must have it right.

Only a criminal would seek to destroy that. Criminals like Saddam and Osama.

Is this true? I read somewhere that the CIA does not really do this. Maybe they did it in the past but I remember reading complaints about how our US intelligence failed us after 9/11 and some of the reasons cited was because we did not do things like torture and we do not like to deal with the unsavory people in the world who might have been able to extract that kind of information.
