When I go to open a bittorrent for dl, i get

windows cannot find "c:\docandsettings\adm\local settings\temp internet files\content.ie5\4pyrk5y7\xxxx.shnf.torrent" Make sure you typed the name correctly and try again.

How do I fix this? Using windows xp pro

Using IE6

Right-Click/Save As on the torrent and save it to your harddrive somewhere (desktop?) and open it from there.

Try going out and buying whatever it is that your trying to download. That should fix the problem.

yeah, because there are no legitimate uses for torrents. game demos for one?
bands that allow live trading?
try not jumping to conclusions.

There are LOTS of sites that use bit torrent to distribute perfectly legal software.

Yet you jump to the conclusion that he is using BT for legitimate purposes.

I'm getting a download error "Problem connecting to tracker - <urlopen error (7, 'getaddrinfo failed")>

I'm trying to track down 5/1 Saturday Night Live with Lindsay Lohan. :(

No, he's merely stating the legal uses, IE giving both sides.

It's gotten better but torrents still have a ways to go before being used (legitematly or not) by the main stream.
