we've had storms all day and flooded roads all over the place, businesses are getting flooded, people are stuck in one of the local malls cuz the parking lot is so flooded they can't open the doors. my roomate and i just had to go rescue our other roomate because he got stuck trying to get to his girlfriends house - water up past the door sills on his car - on a 4 lane road. and we're supposed to get even more rain tomorrow! hope you all down in central and south fl appreciate this when it gets there tomorrow or the next day!

Sounds exciting, but it sucks if you're car/house/business get flooded. I'm in Alachua, and we are getting the daily storms with the sea breezes. The storm is helping the rain along, providing the moisture and such.
We so need this rain! Just not TOO much. :)

i just finished watching the news and they said we got about 5" worth of rain during the late morning/early afternoon, but since 8 pm, they think we've gotten almost 6" or more. i'm pretty safe, my apt is on a hill that drains down about 10 ft in elevation, so i'm not too worried, we already lost power for about 90 min, but that's not much to put up with in the long run!

Give me your address and I'll mail you an inflatable raft :)

j/k. I know that sucks. We keep seeing pictures here of what Allison did to Houston - 17 dead, among hundreds injured and thousands of houses destroyed. It's really tragic.
