Torrent Problems?

When downloading torrents, i never exceed a speed of 100kbps. Does anyone know why?

Im on a wireless network all firewalls off on a netgear router.

Your ISP is probably Bandwidth shaping. Alot of ISPs do it so if you use torrents alot you have to choose ISP carefully

Packet shaping on your isp network or you have it set to not use more than that in your preferences

Im not sure what that is exactly. Does anyone know if verizon high speed DSL is good with torrents?
