Was just there for several days. Stayed at Holiday Inn at Young and College (I think the second one is actually called Carlton or something along that stretch of it). Jogged around University of Toronto and loved the weather. Seemed like a very young city, with hotties from all over the world. You can get to a ton of places walking.

Other than the cold winters, anything else not to like?

Humidity and high cost of living by Canadian standards. Still, I really like living here. Mediocre seafood. Very bad traffic, but not as bad as Atlanta it New York. No real ski/snowboard mountains close by.

Speaking of hotties... Women, and men, dress better in Montreal, but then again you could say that about Montreal over any city in North America aside from Manhattan.

Insane price of houses?

P.S. The area you stayed in... Two streets east and you would have been on hooker lane.

Too crowded, pollution, traffic, cost of living etc. But it really depends on what style of living you prefer, some people like the city life, so Toronto is a good place for them. I personally like being in a smaller town with less traffic, less pollution, less people etc. Heck I often find my 45k town too crowded at times, traffic wise. If I did not have to work I would totally see myself moving to one of the smaller nearby towns.

It's Yonge, not Young.
I think hanging around a large university campus has something to do with this observation...
Two university campuses actually. Ryerson (modern) and University of Toronto (historic).

P.S. I grew up in a city of 180000 and found it way, way, way too small. I even found Vancouver a tad small. I much prefer the size of Toronto, where I live now. I do like Vancouver, but more because of the access to outdoors activities.

Toronto is a dirty shithole. I hate it. "The Six" is full of a million hipster douchebags driving daddy's new car. Worst city in Ontario and is singlehandedly responsible for the downfall of a once great province. And they fucking suck at hockey. Bunch of hosers, those TO fuckers.

Actually that is kind of true, so many decisions about the province get made soley based on Toronto. Like wanting to ban natural gas for heating. Easy to say from an Ivory building on Bay street when it's +2 on the coldest winter day and they call a state of emergency if there's 15cm of snow. :p

Generally regarded as the the SJW capital of North America. Current known residence of Chanty "Big Red" Binx and Stephanie Guthrie.

Look 'em up.

Fuckin Kathleen Wynne is the scourge of Canada. It is in everyone's interest - not just Ontario's - for her to go away and never come back. Holy fuck she's terrible.

Oh there's plenty. Just that our hate bubbles and then we move on with our day. It is uncommon that we actually do anything about it because everyone has feelings and reasons and shit. If it were up to me, we'd have burnt down our provincial parliament buildings in protest years ago, around the time that McGuinty murdered democracy in this province by stealing over a billion dollars to fix an election after the writ dropped. Fuck that guy. Re-elected by ignorant assholes in Toronto that have never left the fuckin core. Anyone and everyone that voted for the Ontario Liberals in the last 12 years is a fuckin moron, no exceptions.

Just goes to show you how fucking terrible the PC candidate was, she actually GAINED votes in the last election despite the many Liberal party screw ups during her previous 3 years in office.

Yeah that is scary. People need to get their heads out of their asses and realize there are more than two parties. NDP would probably be a decent option. If anything, it would send a pretty clear message to the two major parties if NDP actually came in. So even if they screwed up too hopefully things would change with the other two parties. Where I live it's pretty solid NDP. But the GTA votes pretty much always trump ours due to more population. I'd really love to see a proportional voting system. Not really sure how that would work though.

^All three main parties suck. Every single one is in bed with some very rich/influential overseer.

Green Party may be the exception but too socialist for me.

The weather is awful (like truly awful) and there is a distinct lack of greenery and mountains and water. Some really good food in that city though. Good to visit but I'm very fucking happy I don't live there anymore.

Personally not a huge horwath fan myself. Less policy and more poor leadership imo though. I'd be on board for anything but liberal in Ontario regardless though. I seriously considered voting for mulcair when Trudeau won but jst disagreed on one or two things that in my mind were nonstarters. Ended up voting green. Would vote green again. I tend to lean fiscally conservative but socially liberal. I did vote for hudak and would again but I completely understand why he was so disliked and am not surprised he lost. Wynne has the next one in the bag already even though she is record setting unpopular because Toronto is a shit stain and can't tell a skid mark from chocolate.

Our local provincial PC incumbent is a proud creationists so that pretty much rules out voting for him...
