Toronto area people...

Trying to book a hotel for relatives who want to be near the Chinatown there. They mention Young St. or something. Know of any cheaper hotels for a short stay ? Like $100/night or less.

Also, which of these areas is it considered ?

Brampton
Don Valley
Downtown Toronto
Markham
Mississauga
Oakville - Burlington
Scarborough - Pickering
Toronto Airport (YYZ)
Toronto East
Toronto West

Those other cities may have their own Chinatowns (I'm not really sure)... Younge street is a fair bit east of spadina... perhaps a 20 min walk or so at a fair pase (Assuming you don't have to walk north or south once you get to spadina... younge st is a long street...

As for cheap hotels... I dunno... sorry.

There's a Chinatown that starts at Spadina and College and goes South right up until Queen St. (and perhaps even past that but I've never been South of Queen St. on Spadina).

Hotels downtown might be more expensive but it wouldn't hurt to look. You can always find a hotel a bit away from downtown and take the subway or a street car to where you need to go.
