Looking to go from a push to a rider. Which is the best for the money as far as quality ..

I (or my family) have had Toro push mowers and they've been like tanks.

My grandpa had a Cub-Cadet riding mower and it was good to him.

So I'd have to go on features / price, since both brands have been good to me/the family.

Since Cub Cadet's are made right across the street form me here at work, I say go with them. We had one years ago when it was made by International Harvester. That thing lasted forever.

If you go with Joh Deere, do not buy the ones sold at Home Depot or Lowes. They are a lower grade with only Briggs and Staton engines. Go to a John Deere dealer.

Get a push mower with just the cylindrical blades on them no motor. All man powered. They do a Sh!tty job, but are very fun if you have a small lawn.

LOL... my neighbor had one of these. Takes him forever to mow the lawn and looks to be a PITA.
