RideFree: I'm looking to replace a 35 yr old snowblower. Driveway is about 100+ feet long with parking area up top, southern New England weather (one or two big storms per year). Any suggestions on what I should look for?

PS-setup is no good for an electric snowblower (all of which are probably too lightweight anyway).

Like I said.
I know snow from upstate NY - Syracuse & Watertown - snow doesn't get any worse!

In that area, I would recommend a 3 stage auger - You decide.
You'll find all the prices you want probably by googling it

Edited: "electric snowblowers" are nothing but an electric broom.
They do not qualify as anything else.

Thump553, I agree with Ridefree and with 100 feet of driveway to do would also suggest at least an 8HP blower. You might have to throw the snow quite a ways to keep it from piling up too high.

I have a 75-100 foot driveway that faces the north. The winters here in MN can get pretty bad so I opted for a snowblower with power. I got an 11hp Toro two stage blower last year and last winter was a breeze. Even the heaviest snowfall was nothing for the blower. Money well spent.
