Rain's over... got some water in da house, but it'll dry.

Ouch that sucks.

I got my weeping tiles and foundation seal redone a few years back, started getting water in the basement after a huge downpour. Not a cheap job. I ended up rolling it into the mortgage otherwise I'd probably still be paying for it.

Yeah, Southern Ontario doesn't get bad weather. We do get tornadoes but they're usually pretty weak.

Tornado warnings going up now for the north part of Toronto. Heavy rain worries me more though as that's what causes car crashes and flooding.

Do they get.....Southern Ice? :awe:

Is Southern Ontario Windsor? I don't know the Canada's geography

Sorta. Toronto had to call the army over ~15cm of snow once.

No, I will never let that down. That was hilarious!

Windsor is nearly at the very tip of Ontario's "arrow" and is just a bit south of Detroit so yeah very south. You can actually see Detroit from there. Been there once for a night. Pretty much anything south of North Bay is southern ontario, though you ask people in southern Ontario and it would be more like "there's stuff up there?". :p

Even during a storm with active tornadoes the odds of being hit by one are like shooting a gun up in the air and waiting to get hit. You probably won't.

It was "some water" as in whatever blew through the mosquito barrier. A paper towel would have cleaned it up...

someone sent a pic of what they thought was a tornado to our local news. it turned out to be a strange cloud.
