So this is what they will focus on this year, since hurricanes predictions haven't been too god lately. They need something to generate news, you know ;)

yeah its already been a bad year and its just starting.

had one touch down near my house. never had one hit my house but been around them.

when i was working about 8 years ago. i had along drive (an hour).w ell one time it was a bad storm. the radio said we had a tornado watch/warning so be on the lookout. i look out to the north (was heading out of Chicago area) and i could see one going the opposite way. scared the crap out of me.

I looked out my dorm window and saw a tornado throwing cars into the air. It went right though the student parking lot. The wind was so intense that it took several of us to open the door and run to the basement. As I was running down I looked out one of the stairwell windows and saw a dumpster floating in the air.

After we went outside to see the aftermath, I saw a corvette placed perfectly on top of another car with no damage and a basketball hoop turned 90 degrees (metal pole into concrete). Quite the amazing force of nature.

I have lived in Oklahoma my whole life and have never even seen one with my own eyes.

Its a huge media conspiracy, there are no such thing as tornados.

Ya, we've had plenty already where I live. One picked up our neighbors house and moved it about 3 ft. Oh, and here are the pics of said tornado, for frame, we're about 5 miles from the tornado, and don't mind my brother, damn hippie KU law school students. This tornado occurred this year, actually about 3 weeks ago. We get em all the time though

Maybe our technology for tracking tornadoes has gotten better over the last 4 years so we are finding more?

I might be wrong, but I don't think that's true. Tornado reports are reported by someone who saw them. They may also use radar to spot possible tornados, but I'm unsure if they use those as reports.

What technology has done is let us get a warning out faster and save more lives.

I saw swirling clouds and possibly the start of one that never touched down when I was younger. We have them in Indiana regularly but I haven't seen one in person.
