Tornado RPM's drop from 1900rpm to 0rpm with Sunbeam

Is there any way to make the RPMs drop/rise more smoothly? The Sunbeam can drop/rise the voltage from 0v to 12v, so maybe the Tornado just needs a certain amount of voltage to even start?
Any thoughts would be appreciated.

It is entirely possible that the Tornado fans are 24V fans just marked at 12V by Vantec. So there would be less of a range below 12V that you could go. Or it could just have a narrow working voltage range. Either way would net the same result.
I don't see any working voltage range or starting voltage spec on the Vantec page. I guess you'd have to email or phone them to find out (that is if they even know - I'm not really impressed with the Thermoflows I have here).

As usual the OP doesn't give any real spec. 😉

The 80mm draws 0.76A, the 92mm draws 1.00A. I doubt either one would run, let alone
start at 10V. It's just not going to happen imho.

If you want good air with fantastic undervoltabilty (word 😀 ) look to the Delta Triple Blade
fans. The medium speed 80x38 & 92x38 are sweet hearts. They will start/run at 3.5V.

BooYah, G-Y. But those Deltas will take a nice chunk out of the ol' wallet too - yessiree Bob... But I have at least one fan here that will run down to 7V or less and it draws about 1.5A at full cry.

Yes the DTBs are not cheap but neither are the new Scythe fans w/ceramic bushings.

Is it a secret, or can you share this 1.5A fan that runs at 7V.? Did you buy it at allelectronics 😀
