Torn between two

Hey all.
I'm upgrading routers. Woo. Anyway I've narrowed my search down to
one of two choices.
1st. Netgear Nighthawk AC1900
2nd Linksys WRT1900ac

I'm mostly interested in range. I have several devices about 50-70ft away through a few wood&brick walls. My current router is a Linksys EA3500 and
only provides 1-2 bars of strength to the back room.

Seems like everyone nowa' days strongly dislike Linksys products. I'm used to the interface and have had no problems (aside from poor coverage in corners of my house) So I'm slightly leaning toward the WRT1900. Simply out of respect to how long my old WRT54g ran. (like 8 years...)

Any recommendations for one or the other?

I doubt that any Wireless Router would provide good service at the distant Locations under your environment.

You will need a Good Router, then use your current Wireless Router as an Access Point.

Thanks for the information.
I've looked at that Asus router. But again, I'm wanting either the Netgear or WRT1900 :sneaky:

Which of those do you think may have the best range?

I used to be a Linksys fanboy but there last couple of routers have left a sour taste in my mouth, thanks Belkin. Given your choices I'd get the Netgear. I recently bought an Asus AC66 and absolutely love it, granted DD-WRT is a requirement for me.
