I've been playing electric guitar for about a year and a half. My electric is the Starcaster by Fender kit that they sell at stores like Target and Wal-Mart. However, I've realized that many of the songs I've been playing lately are acoustic-based songs rather than clean electric.

So, to Musiciansfriend I went, and I found the following three:

Fender CD-60 Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar

Ibanez V200S Solid Top Acoustic Guitar

Ibanez SGT120NT SAGE SERIES Acoustic Guitar

Ibanez V Series V70CE Dreadnought Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Guitar

Fourth one is actually an acoustic-electric. I really like it because it has a cutaway, which the other three guitars lack. The third one has a very high rating and extremely glowing reviews, AND it's 20 bucks less than the other three. The second one appears to be the acoustic-only version of the acoustic-electric. The first one just looks plain cool.

Right now, I'm heavily leaning toward either the third one (Ibanez SGT120NT) or the fourth one (Ibanez V70CE), but I'm not entirely sure as I've never bought an acoustic.

Anyone have any alternative suggestions, or tips on which one to go with?

I had an Ibanez acoustic in that price range once. It had a pretty good sound, but I always liked the sound and feel of the Fender acoustics better. Personally I'd go for the fender.

I didn't know you could get an acoustic for $200. I thought you could only find plastic guitar toys/starter kits at Wal-Mart for $200.

For that price, buy what feels the best and is the easiest to play. At that price, it's hit or miss. Try not to buy online. Go try guitars all over in that price range and pick the one that feels the best. Don't worry about the sound quality in that price range so much.

Honestly, you need to go to a shop and play a few to see what you like. An acoustic is most generally more difficult to play than an electric so you may want to feel the action of the guitar before you buy it. Not to mention body size, cutaway or not, etc.
