Torchwood HD-DVD?

I've been watching Torchwood on HDNET, and the picture looks great (better than most other HD shows for some reason). So now I'm wondering if anyone's heard of a pending HD-DVD release of this show (or even Dr Who)?

its apparently coming to hd-dvd and blu-ray early next year....from the bbc.
