FWIW it was crap.

Yeah, wtf was the blessing? Earth's vag? Made no sense and wasn't explained at all, which kind of fits in with most other Torchwood/Doctor Who plots I guess.

Wish that redhead had gotten blown up instead of Captain Lone Starr, but oh well.

It was ok, torchwood is a bit overrated though, really don't care about any of the characters.
