Topic View, What do you use?

Well this has been bugging me recently. Basically, at the top of a post you can select Topic View and change the way the thread is viewed. This will drastically change the way the replies in the thread show up. I've always used the default of Linear. So it never mattered where I clicked "Reply" because it would always end up at the end of the thread. But I've noticed that if I change the views, my replies always end up somewhere completely off topic to who or what I was replying to.

So... I decided to do the poll thing so I can get an idea of whether everybody uses linear like me or whether I should start paying attention to where I click reply to.

PS: I searched for Topic View before posting because I would have bet someone has asked this before. But damned if my unsubscribing ass can find anything.

Linear, i can't stand threaded/branch, as a lot of people just hit a Reply button anywhere, and aren't necessarily replying to the post under which they clicked Reply

If someones replying to a post, normally they quote it, so you know the link. Linear is therefore the best way, as it also leaves the other posts there.

I guess my fear of tons of people using threaded and my replies never making sense was way off base. Ah well, at least it won't be bothering me :)

Hahaha, for some reason that wording made me laugh.

Linear to me, never thought about changing it.

Edit: Threaded looks like it would make finding updates from those losers who reply to their topic instead of editing it alot easier. No more Ctrl+F, no results, page 2, Ctrl+F, grrrr.
