topic of disscussion

im stuck deciding between DFI ultra-d and keo4 platum. i dont know whihc to get for pure stabilty. i will get a 3700 sandiego and there will be no OCing. i want pure stabilty. which would yoou choose please post in teh poll and give reason please.

They are both pretty stable.

I've built 2 PCs for other people with the MSI Neo4 Platinum (Ultra) and not had any issues. One asked for DFI, and that went great as well.

Although, I never owned an Ultra myself - I have had bad experiences with the MSI SLI version though.

I started with an MSI K8N Neo4 Platinum SLI, it was stable while it lasted, but it did eventually die after a BIOS update. I should have RMA when I first installed it, as I noticed SLI was very problematic on it - possibly due to the PCB card it uses. (Never had an issue with the DFI Lanparty SLI-DR yet).

As for stability - they are both pretty solid IMO. I'd go with DFI honestly, seems like you get more bang for your buck.

thanks for the info im not planning on getting sli iny time soon if at all so i dotn need to worry about that. anymore thoughts

they are both good boards. i would just go with what ever fits your budget. keep in my dfi requires at least 480 watts and native 24 pin power cord. so keep that in mind when purchasing the dfi board. i recommend ocz..enermax or fortron blue storm 500watts for that board.

I have the dfi and it's a GREAT board. Make sure you pick out the right ram to go with it. I have some of the OCZ VX 3200, it's nice ram.
