any studies that "Top tier" gas is better than Exxon/Sunnoco/Amoco/BP?

I call it Legit. I want to say I read something in my Suby's owner's manual about using Top Teir gasoline.

huh, my dad and brother have 3 bmw's between them. (all require premium gas) and they always get BP gas

I always thought Mobil/Exxon was a top tier gas provider... they are my favorite, anyway.

Independent labs have been testing gasoline quality for decades and Exxon always scores at the bottom. They care about you money only and let their giant marketing machine convince you they care about their gasoline. I am not down on the oil industry here, simplh Exxon. They consistantly make the lowest grade products.

Maybe BP will join the toptier thing. Fact is though, if you get regular gas from a no name station, it will have a crappy additive package, in fact probably most regular grade gas does. At a toptier station, even the regular has to pass the standards even though the premium may be better still.

all i know is that when i fill up with 7-11 gas, my car stutters and stalls but runs 100% with pretty much everything else

what gas stations are those?

i normally use Shell gas but i want to know who those are.

My cars (Porsche, Pontiac, Nissan) all seem to like Amaco/BP better than anything else. I notice better mileage AND smoother running. I only use 93 though.

I use 91-93 Octane V-Power. I have been considering trying BP and seeing if the car likes that better but I haven't got around to it.

Kwik Trip is here in the mid-west. Cheapest gas around. I cannot bring myself to try it.

When travelling I fill up with BP or Shell and usually get really good mileage. Around town we don't have Shell, we do have a QuikTrip and a BP but they aren't near me. I usually use BreakTime which sells MFA Gas and I must say that it is extremely lacking compared to BP.

I've always put BP's 93 in mine. Can't complain. Better than the Sam's Club stuff.

It all pretty much comes from the same place(refineries). Gas is gas.....cept the el cheapy places like AM/PM
