Top Ten FPS Games PC

I'm wanting some input on some good fps games for the PC. I have C.O.D. ,,,battlefield 1942,,,,brothers in arms. Farcry now. But what other fps games are great to get .

HL2 (single and multi-player), Unreal Tournament 2003/4, Doom3 (debatable, but still decent IMO), Chronicles of Riddick - Escape from Butcher Bay.

...that should get you started...

 those should keep u busy for a long time especially a game like HL2 and Doom3

BF2 comes out next month, get that. It'll be more fun than games like HL2 and Doom 3, they were mildly to total knocked out boring. Farcry is great, I'm enjoying that. CoD was good, but CoD2 is coming out too.

There are a lot of big FPS games hitting E3 this year, some good games will be coming out next month and for the next few months after that.

Is there any way to see what E3 has for games that are coming out?,, I love the fps,cod2 will be better then the first which was fun too .

Hi amdwolfman64

Painkiller (and expansion pack "Battle out of Hell") is a good one too. The full game is much better than the demo suggests.

But your sig reflects a Ti 4400 gfx card. You might wanna play some of the good titles from 2 or 3 yrs ago (they'll be in the "Bargin Bin" too). Then when you can upgrade to a more "current" card that will show all the eye candy, get Far Cry, HL2, PK, & D3 etc.

Enjoy,

Fern

Sure is, the publishers sent me their lists of games they are showing off at E3. I don't have all the publishers but I got a couple lists.

CoD2
Prey
Conflict: Global Terror
Vietcong 2
Serious Sam 2
Quake 4

Those are the ones I know of so far. I've got some people heading to LA right now so I'll keep an ear open for others.

Serious Sam and Serious Sam: Second Encounter were awesome games!!! A plethora of monsters to kill, great one-liners and the difficulty made these games great!

UT2004 is my current favorite, the best multiplayer game available in my opinion. Doom 3 and Far Cry have pretty good singleplayer packages.

I'm not sure why everyone rates HL2's singleplayer so highly; I thought it was rather mediocre, as the maps are far too linear and the first nine or so missions are very repetitive. My brother just gave it up halfway through and I was thinking of doing the same, although the last few missions are much better. Was worth playing to the end just for the hours I spent messing with that super gravity gun though. CSS on the other hand is quite nice, although I personally prefer UT2004's style.

For all its problems, I also thought Deus Ex: Invisible War was very good. You really need a top notch system to run this horribly optimized game at an acceptable speed though.

you have to have CS. I still play it more than any other game, and my rig can handle all these games ^ with ease.

Halflife 2 is a must (as is the original, if you have never played it, even if it is dated)...

Quake 3 (dated as well) is my favorite engine--for mutliplayer, I don't think it's been equaled yet.

Painkiller -- the game is downright stupid, but it looks great and it has the twitch...closest thing to Quake since, well...Quake

Call of Duty -- It's highly scripted, but the overall experience and the way it draws you in is simply unmatched

UT2K4 -- Best FPS value--ever.

No One Lives Forever -- (dated) Funny, quirky, fun.

I've heard tons of great things about FarCry--it's next on my list, so I can't comment yet.

My avoid list: Tribes 2, Tribes Vengeance, Battlefield (unless you have a LAN group that plays it), Jedi Knight 2 (great license, bad shooting mechanics)

Far Cry, Doom III , I have UT2004 /UT2003 but I get bore I been a hard gamer of UT 99 and the UT99 is more fun......

F.E.A.R is coming out and wooo that game looks scary and fantastic.. I jumped out of my seat at some parts of the gameplay video

Listed in random order (not ranked):

Battlefield 1942 and Expansions
Battlefield Vietnam
Unreal Tournament 2004
Half Life 2 and Counter Strike Source
Call of Duty and Expansion
Medal of Honor Allied Assault and Expansions
Medal of Honor Pacific Assault (debatable)
Brothers in Arms
Far Cry
Doom 3

And the upcoming Battlefield 2 and F.E.A.R.

In order that you should get them in...

1. Deus Ex
2. The Marathon Trilogy
3. Hitman: Silent Assassin
4. Hitman: Contracts
5. Mafia
6. Lands Of Lore: Guardians Of Destiny
7. Damage Incorporated
8. Far Cry

Im with this guy, Im not the biggest fan of CS source, mostly cause (basically) no rigs out there can take it all that well for an intense multiplayer fps, but regular cs wasnt the most popular online game for nothing. I have a very nice gamer and I still go back to CS all the time.
