Top Quality, "Mature" Full Tower case?

Recommendations on a really high quality Full Tower case that has a more "mature" look to it (read: no flashing lights/leds/etc) and will stay pretty quiet, provide cooling, lots of drive bays and room to work and put in big graphics cards (I will have 6 internal HDDs + optical).

Lian Li? Antec? Other?

What's your budget?
If it can fit a SilverStone Fortress FT02 that would be my first suggestion.

I just built a new system in a Corsair Obsidian 650D. It is a large mid-tower on sale at the Egg w/ rebate, coupon code, and free shipping for $145. It has 6 internal drive bays and you could likely buy another drive rack to mount in the third slot to give another 3. Solid black classy finish and 200mm fans for silent cooling.

I'll have a budget once I have a bill 😉 I'm fine with anything from $100-$300, it's more about space, size, build quality, etc. Just wondering what the top Full Tower Case recommendations are. I don't need water cooling or anything, I'm going all air cooling.

Corsair Obsidians are a good choice.

Other good choices are caselab's cases, but only if you really have an extreme computer. Thought I'd throw it out there just in case.

Don't forget you can just get rid of the bling of cases by changing the fans to ones without led's also. To me it seems like most of the nicer cases have led fans as it seems like it's what the market wants.

Fractal Design Define XL $140

Awesome, awesome case. It's quiet (noise absorbing padding, removable pads covering unused fan slots, included fan controller), professional looking, has good cooling performance (180mm top, 140mm rear, 140mm front), separate PSU/HDD compartment, 10 internal HDD slots, 4 5.25" bays, USB3.0, and it's wide enough for the biggest air coolers (180mm) and the longest GPUs (330mm / 13" without removing the hdd cage).

P280 is way different from the P180/182/183. P280 is just a big antec case with some foam on the side and door. the P18x series has 3 layer side and top panels that are just dead (along with the wonky separate chamber for the PSU). the P18x weigh nearly twice what the P280 does, despite the P280 being a bit bigger.

P280 is on sale at newegg for $80 right now.

let me tell you, even with all those panels, i own the p180, it's NOT quiet,

it's only noise muffling. that said, the p280 isn't any more quiet. ^_^

i have both a p180 and a p183. the biggest noise culprit in either of them is the video card. the airflow is so restricted in the p18x series that the card is probably louder with the side door all the way on than it is with the door just tilted up against the case.

I've love my Antec P180b case. Though the fans that came with it have long since died, it's thus far been my personal favorite of the cases I've worked with. Some recent tinkering has revealed that it may not be the best for airflow though.
I would strongly recommend AGAINST the newer Antec p280, however. I received my first one from Newegg in an intact box about two weeks ago... and it had a very noticeable dent on the top. I RMAd it, and it was replaced by another one with a slightly less noticeable dent on the top. They seemed to skimp a bit on the materials in the p280 and from my experience, it shows.
As previously mentioned, the Antec P18x and P280 are very different. The 18x series are multi-layered, heavy, and seem to be solidly constructed. The P280 is lightweight thin material with some padding glued on or inserted. I would guess that the P18x series is mature, having had multiple iterations, and the P280 is rather lacking / immature with a whole new fabrication process and being new (thinner / less) materials.

fractal design. i'm thinking of getting the core 1000 myself (i'm cheap and well a case is a case for me most of the time other than look).

if you are cheap , core 3000. if you aren't design R3, the arc full size. etc

If budget it not a concern the best "mature" full towers in my opinion are the Corsair 800D (if you prefer a side view window) and the CM Cosmos (no window), agreeing with what many of the people above. The Fractal Design is very good value for what you get though.
